Last day reflections

What did you learn about photography that you did not know before?

That a picture can tell a story and they can also be inspiring to some. Also the setting of the picture does matter depending on the lighting and where it is. You can use different objects and also use a models face as a "canvas" to get the story you want to tell in your photo.

What did you learn about yourself this semester?

That most of my photos actually reflect me as a person and tells people about myself instead of just seeing a plain old picture. I also learned that I enjoyed taking still life photos more than portraits of people. I think setting up the scene for the photo is fun. I do enjoy taking portraits though.

What do you wish we had done that we did not?

Using the film camera and printing the pictures in the dark room more. I really enjoyed seeing the photos develop when we did print in the dark room. It gives you the excitement of thinking if it turned out good, did it turn out bad, and how it looks.

What was your struggle?

Being able to take at least decent pictures for projects since I used my itouch as a camera, and getting inspiration for pictures. Also using photoshop was pretty difficult for me since I'm used to just doing little edits on my itouch.

What did you conquer?

I conquered the dislike of taking photos of myself. I just don't like being photographed in general, but I think it's kind of fun take portraits depending on how you decide the turn out for the photo will be.

BLUR BW

My blurs were taken with mostly the same objects but in different positions. This project was pretty hard considering I was just using my iTouch since it doesn't have all those fancy settings. I think some of the pictures turned out pretty good though.

LIGHT BLACK AND WHITE!

I really enjoyed taking pictures for this project. I did have a ton of troubles with the shadows coming off from the light though. My light photos didn't have much cool shadows though. I think I had the most fun with the silhouettes! I think my best photos were mostly the silhouettes. I also had a hard time with the texture in photos while editing them.

LEVITATION

This was the first photo taken for levitation, so I didn't know what pose to do. It was windy so I thought it'd have some sort of effect on my hair, but it didn't do much. It just ended up covering my face.

I was attempting to do a Superman "pose". Didn't work out that well!

This one was kind of rushed. I took a picture of the outside standing on my porch, and took a quick photo of me in my room. Now looking at this again, this wasn't very well edited.

PANO GLOBES!

I think out of all 3, this one would have to be my favorite. I took this during lunch outside on the football field. I really like how the stands looked on this globe.

I took this in the field next to the football field. This one took some time to fi up, and it's still not that great, but I still like it!

This one I took kind of last minute. The lighting was different so it turned out weird but cool looking.

CLONED SELF

The editing process for this photo was pretty difficult. As you can tell, the lighting aren't the same, and I couldn't fix it without deleting everything because the layers weren't saved properly. I had fun taking the pictures though!
